Peer Supporters are referred by Lorain and Huron County jail officials to begin engagement with inmates during their incarceration and connect them with treatment, MAT treatment, recovery housing or other social services upon release. The goal is to continue services for a period and offer encouragement and remove barriers to their ongoing recovery. Additional services at Huron County Jail include inmate assessments and support group for men and women.
